Pia Watson (b. 1984, Mexico) is a Mexican American artist and actor whose interdisciplinary practice is rooted in the exploration of the body as a site of experience, perception, and transformation. Working across performance, visual art, film, and writing, she investigates how humans communicate, relate, and construct meaning beyond language.

Her artistic journey has developed through an ongoing engagement with storytelling, embodiment, and different forms of knowledge. She studied Arts and Literature at Simon’s Rock College of Bard and Political Science at The New School in New York City before training as an actor at CEFAT in Mexico City. Her practice has since evolved across film, television, theatre, and contemporary art, moving between scripted narratives and experimental forms.

Watson’s work is informed by embodied research and experiences across cultures, including artistic investigations in Scandinavia around individuality and identity, and encounters with contemplative and spiritual traditions in Nepal, India, and Asia. Influenced by depth psychology, dreamwork, spirituality, and artists such as Tehching Hsieh and Werner Herzog, her practice explores the body as pivotal conduit for alternative ways of perceiving reality. Her visual and performance work has been exhibited in Mexico and internationally, and developed through artistic residencies and research in Europe and Asia.
